Title: Blood Moon aka Wolf Girl (2001)
Director: Thom Fitzgerald
Rating: NA
Language: English
Contains: Male and female nudity, blood, lesbianism, physical abnormalities, animal testing
Short Synapse: Tara, who lives and works in a traveling freakshow (run by Tim Curry, no less), meets a boy who may have a cure for her hypertrichosis. However, the drug is in its experimental stage and by taking it she may have bitten off more than she can chew.
Your Thoughts:
A interesting spin on the old werewolf myth, this movie does not disappoint. Wonderful freaks, great story line. Also has an abundance of weird and hilarious nudity. If you liked Freaks then this movie will definitely scratch that itch.

Title: Bad Boy Bubby (1993)
Director: Rolf de Heer
Rating: NA
Language: English
Contains: male and female nudity, sex, homosexual rape, incest, dead animals, animal abuse
Short Synapse: Bubby is an autistic man whose mother has kept him locked in their apartment for thirty years, convincing him that the air outside is poisonous. After a visit from his estranged father, circumstances force Bubby into the waiting world, a place which is just as unusual to him as he is to the world.
Your Thoughts:
A very weird yet touching movie about an autistic mans exploits in the outside world. It is kind of slow to start, but once you get into it you won't wanna turn it off. This movie manages to be disturbing, tragic, funny, and heart-warming within one fouls swoop. I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone looking to step outside of the classic coherent film character and be immersed into a worldview from a true outsider's eye.

Title: The Girl Next Door (2007)
Director: Gregory Wilson
Rating: R
Language: English
Contains: Child sexual and physical abuse, grueling torture scenes, nudity, incest
Short Synapse: Based on Jack Ketchum's novel and the true story of Sylvia Likens, a girl who was brutally tortured by her Aunt Ruth and her 3 cousins in 1965 in Indiana.
Your Thoughts:
Now, I'm a fan of fucked-up films but even I squirmed in my seat when I saw this movie. It's low on the gore-factor, but that certainly doesn't take away from the torture scenes. The fact that it's based on a true story will make your stomach churn too. An absolutely powerful film. I'd highly recommend you folks to watch it.

*Title and year filmed: Murder-Set-Pieces(2004)
*Director: Nick Palumbo
*Rating (if any): Not listed, but I am guessing un-rated.
*Language: English, with some crazy German yelling.
*Contains: Rape, child murder, nudity, an arm getting nailed to a chair, sexism, a lot of dead women
*Short synapse: I watched this movie only because it was number 6 on the Top Ten Sickest Horror Movie list.  The violence was the only thing that made this movie worth watching, and even then, there could have been more.  The movie revolves around a crazy German "fashion" photographer who ends up murdering and sometimes raping all of his clients.  He is dating the older sister of this young girl who is on to him from the start, and ends up in his murder chamber as she tries to save her sister.
*Your personal feelings/thoughts on this movie: Watch it for the blood, and you shouldn't be disappointed.  The acting is laughable, and really only believable when the main guy is killing, or someone is getting killed.  I found the photographer's crazy German outbursts hilarious, and I am sure to not be alone!

*Title: Teeth (2007)
*Director: Mitchell Lichtenstein
*Rated: R
Language: English
Contains: Rape, penis mutilation, blood, sex, and lots and lots of male nudity. Yay!
*Synapse: High school student Dawn works hard at suppressing her budding sexuality by being the local chastity group's most active participant. Her task is made even more difficult by her bad boy stepbrother Brad's increasingly provocative behavior at home. A stranger to her own body, innocent Dawn discovers she has a toothed vagina when she becomes the object of violence. As she struggles to comprehend her anatomical uniqueness, Dawn experiences both the pitfalls and the power of being a living example of the vagina dentata myth (lol stolen synapse is stolen).
*Thoughts on this movie: When I first read about this movie I pretty much thought it was going to be some stupid tit-filled slasher flick. Really. But then I watched it and feel in love. There's some substantial dept to the plot and I thought the Dawn character was handled very convincingly. And besides...It has cocks being bitten off. What's not to like?

Cannibal Holocaust
*Title and year filmed: Cannibal Holocaust; released in 1985.
*Director: Ruggero Deodato
*Rating (if any): IMDB didn't have a rating, but it is banned in a number of countries.
*Language: English.
*Contains:  Rape, six real animal killings, extreme torture, cannibalism, very realistic gore
*Short synapse: Four young adult documentary makers go to the Amazon jungle to film the tribes living there.  When they haven't returned for two months,a famous anthropologist goes to look for them and recovers their cans of film.  This movie is filmed in the same way The Blair Witch Project was, so it has a very realistic feel to it.  The director had to prove in court that the footage wasn't real.
*Your personal feelings/thoughts on this movie: A fan of exploitation films myself, I find cannibal films, especially this one, the hardest to watch.  The animal killings are very hard to get through, as are the realistic, cruel methods of "survival of the fittest" torture bestowed upon the tribes people.  I was stunned by this movie for quite a bit after I watched it.  I have only seen this movie once, and definitely plan to keep it that way.

*Title: Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986)
*Director: John McNaughton
*Rated: R
*Language: English
*Contains: Rape, extreme, violence, murder, incest, boobs, and lots of blood!
*Synapse: Henry shares an apartment with his friend Otis...And like any good friend should, Henry teaches Otis the joys of killing. When Otis' sister Becky comes to live with the pair, Henry takes a liking to her and all hell brakes loose. This movie is loosely based on the life of the serial killer Henry Lee Lucas.
*Thoughts on this movie: Just, wow. It's been ages since I've seen a violent movie that's truly shaken me as much as this one. The violence is intense and pretty convincing despite the film being low-budget and all, and neither the violence nor the tits feel like they're there for shock value (which is something that I am very picky about). Forget Saw III or Hostel II, this movie completely blows them out of the water! Needless to say, I highly recommend everyone here watches it.

The Other (1972)
*Title and year filmed - The Other {1972}
*Director - Robert Mulligan
*Rating (if any) - Maybe I'm blind but I couldn't find it on IMDB
*Language - English
*Contains - Violence, intense scenes
*Short synapse - There are two twin boys probably around 10. One dies. The other who I guess can't get over his brother's death starts imagining that he sees his brother. His grandmother feeling bad that the kid's brother died pretends the boy never died and pretends she sees him too. The kid apparently has no memory of his brother being dead so he think's he is alive and then goes onto do horrible things like kill people while blaming his brother, who is dead.
*Your personal feelings/thoughts on this movie - Its a tad longish boring but the killings are crazy. He even kills a baby girl! Its horrible and shows the end result of it. It's hard to watch and throughtout the movie I was disappointed.

*Title and year filmed: Twentynine Palms
*Director: Bruno Dumont
*Rating (if any): N/A
*Language: French
*Contains: assrape, emotionless fucking, shouting matches
*Short synopsis: Repeat 3 (4, maybe?) times: The two main characters stop to eat, fuck in their hotel room, and then promptly argue about something. Then, I spoil the movie for you.Collapse )
*Your personal feelings/thoughts on this movie: I don't remember this movie very well, because I watched it the day after a friend of mine was raped, then her rapist had a mental breakdown and wrote on the walls with his blood. I would probably have been a lot more disturbed by it watching it any other time.

*Rating: R (According to IMDB, for disturbing violent and aberrant sexual content involving a teen, and for language.)
*Language: English
*Contains: Pedo, castration, suicide, psychological torture
*Short synopsis: a "rape revenge" flick, a guy invites a young girl off of the internet over to his house, where she promptly subdues and threatens to castrate him.

I ended up having to leave and not catch the end, regardless of whether or not she actually cut his balls off. spoiler withinCollapse ) The 14-year-old girl is eerily calm throughout the whole movie.

Guinea Pig: Flowers of Flesh and Blood
Title: Guinea Pig: Flowers of Flesh and Blood
Director: Hideshi Hino
Rated: N/R
Language: Japanese
Contains: Kidnapping, gory (very realistic) dismemberment
Synapse: A man kidnaps a woman. She wakes to find herself strapped to a table and then is slowly dismembered by a man in a samurai costume.

It's been awhile. I've only seen clips (about half the flick total, maybe), mostly because I knew I couldn't get through the whole film. Amazingly well done fake snuff, though it's not something I ever, ever want to see again. It's gained a bit of notoriety within the gorehound community, though.

*Title and year filmed: Palindromes, 2004
*Directed and written by Todd Solondz
*Rating (if any)
*Language: English
*Contains: pedo, obese black women pretending to be little white girls, abortion clinic bombing
*Short synapse: Well, the synopsis on the site below is total BS that doesn't address shit. Although I did learn that apparently the director spent his life savings on it, lol. Apparently it was a sequel to some other thing he made, never heard of it though. Here's what it is, since I saw it:
The synopsis is it's this really weird movie about a little girl, except she's played by a bunch of different actresses of varying ages and racethnicities. Reflecting the crap the media drills into little girl's heads with their selling dolls that pee, the girl becomes obsessed with becoming a mother as the only thing giving her value in life, and tries to become pregnant lots by whatever means possible.
*Your personal feelings/thoughts on this movie: It kind of creeped me out, and was very confusing trying to follow until I figured out that all the girls were playing one character. It dealt with some interesting issues in a combination and tone most other films don't. One part actually made a good point, with the fatalist at the party, you'd have to see it to get it.
*Links: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0362004/

Oh, and the movie Transamerica is also pretty weird, but most ppl know about that so I won't post it. I've read the Venus Envy comic so I was already a little familiar with the topic, but it would have been way weirder for most people.

*Rated: R
*Language: English

*Synapse: Jeremiah, a child pulled from his foster home, is thrown into a troubled life on the road with his teenage mother, Sarah. With her, he travels through the country roads of the U.S. and learns first hand about the troubles of the world.
*Thoughts on this movie:Oh my god. Oh my fucking god.
This movies. It's so good yet it is also one of the most horrible things I've ever seen in my life. It's so powerful...I don't think I've ever been so homicidal yet utterly crushed in my entire life. That kid's fucking mom. I'd kill that bitch. KILL.
